Mississippi Physical Therapy Association
The Mississippi Physical Therapy Association is a statewide professional organization composed of approximately 750 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and physical therapist/physical therapist assistant students. The organization works to advance the physical therapy profession as well as promote, and improve the health and quality of life for the people of Mississippi. MPTA is a state chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a nationwide professional organization that represents more than 100,000 members.
Mississippi State Medical Association
The Mississippi State Medical Association is the largest physician advocacy organization in Mississippi, representing nearly 5,000 physicians and medical students. Any physician with a license to practice medicine in Mississippi and any student enrolled in a Mississippi medical school is eligible for membership. Retired physicians also comprise an important segment of MSMA's membership.
Mississippi Workers' Compensation Educational Association
The Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) is an organization whose stated purpose is to promote, encourage and foster the advancement of education in the field of Mississippi workers’ compensation law and benefits, along with the rules and regulations, etc., through the dissemination of knowledge by publications, seminars, lectures and other means.
The organization promotes interaction between companies in the workers’ compensation community to exchange and foster new ideas to better serve the employers and claimants in our state.
